Taming the Tiger

The recent news coverage of plastic pollution has been pretty sobering. With our oceans filling up with plastic bags and bottles, something obviously must be done to change things. The waste management company Veolia came up with a novel response and Rock Solid Deliveries were delighted to play a part in it.

Veolia’s idea was to create a tiger out of recycled plastic, and have it tour different locations in the UK, to spark conversations and raise awareness of environmental issues. Naturally, Veolia needed a same day courier to transport the tiger for them. This is where we came in.

 

 

Our contact asked us to deliver the tiger from north London to Milton Keynes, back to Southwark, then on to Cannock. Our same day courier made all three deliveries, promptly and without fuss, taking extra care to make sure the model arrived in perfect condition.

It’s always exciting to make a delivery that’s truly unique, and even more so when the cause is so important. We hope our small contribution has helped Veolia open people’s eyes to environmental issues. And we hope their campaign makes a real difference.
